Le Sportsac Owl collection

The most useful of my Owl collection from le Sportsac is this really small bag that fits my handphone, KS Katy wallet and perhaps a tissue pack. The strap can be opened so that it can be attached to your belt (think it'll look wierd tho...) or maybe an even larger bag. I often take this out and hang it on the stroller. I love the quirky cartoon, bright colors and brown/grey background. The sensible black lining also makes this a handy and practical one.

I remembered my first le Sportsac, it was an all black nylon with outer pockets and with an adjustable strap. Shaped like a hobo and could be used crossbody or just slinged, I carried it everywhere. That's when I knew that nylon bags were great when it came to weight and durability. I don't think I had any idea what le Sportsac as a brand was ... as it was over 20 years ago. I still have many little purses and small accessories from them, all I wish is that they would have more bag designs that I would like. Material design I love, bag design, more choices besides travel bags please?

Longchamp Le Pliage

Definitely one of the most functional, most reasonably priced and durable bags ever, the Le Pliage is seen on thousands worldwide, can I say millions? Half of Europe owns 1 anyways...
Seen mostly at airports and on travellers, it's also one of the most copied bags. All I know is that every time a new color is released here, it'll be snapped up all too quickly and immediately seen on Orchard Road.

NEED that color despite the higher price? Go to www.bagshop.com.

Above is my own collection and the only reason I'm not getting more is because I'm just waiting until I move back to Europe where I can have them made-to-ordered. Am just brimming with ideas on the colors to match, the MTO ones have the option to match 2 colors and also in differing sizes, finishing and handle lengths. Oh my, what a field day! Check out www.longchamp.com the E-store. I can just see the new color, Peony, dotting our streets in its summer glory. Incidentally, its my favourite flower (yea, among with the rest of the world...).

Tod is death in German!

But I still love them anyway, cos some things you just can't run away from :P
My Took Tracolla Media...someday I'll dedicate some time to understand what these names actually mean. The strap can be extended but I've been wearing this just as a sling back so far. I think with the type of thin materialed clothes this weather demands of us, wearing a leather bag this size crossbody will tug on it untidily.
The start of my Tod's and Pashmy affair started also with this bag. Not only did Tod's come up with gorgeous leather bags, their nylon collection is also not to be ignored. They've got some gorgeous colours like dark pink and matte gold but for a first Pashmy buy, I went with the more conservative. Good thing for me because I use this bag so often and the material is still so pristine, so I unshamingly got myself another (could've been another and another and another... thank god these dun cost a dime a dozen!). So here's the newest addition to the Pashmy family...
Gorgeous burgundy satin inner lining, extendable straps and very handy for a mum whose baby is starting to crawl and explore, this crossbody messenger is going to be my new best friend. :D
p.s there's a tan one that's on ebay now... do I need 2 messengers? But maybe a lighter one might really be what my wardrobe needs???

Skip*Hop

Apparently the first company to design diaper bags that convert into stroller bags, SkipHop, hailing from New York City has very up-to-date designs and oh-so-tough materials. They are light, spacious and most of all, very thoughtful to the probably bumbling mom or dad with bawling baby. I love their padded straps, hidden magnet fasteners and skillful design of strap buckles.

I first laid eyes on the CityChic at First Few Years @Paragon. I thought the fact that they had a removable clutch for mommy was ingenious! Together with its matte laminated surface, I could mindlessly lay the bag anywhere without worrying about icky stuff that wetwipes cannot remove. The insides were all tough nylon. I found it chic and in a color that perhaps even my hubby would have no problems togging it around.
So, being the OC that I am, would I be satisfied with 1 bag?! Hell no! Although the CityChic was great, it was rather a tad too big for shorter errands with lesser needs. So I went back to SkipHop, still too proud to succumb to other brands and got the Duo Deluxe Edition. Same coolness as the previous but smaller and used as a sling. Somehow it could be due to the shape but this one always gives me the feeling that it's a tad lighter than the Citychic despite carrying the same stuff. Have not had any regrets from both till now.

Other diaper bags I've checked out were either too heavy to begin with (LV, Coach), weren't real diaper bags but huge bags instead (Prada, Le Pliage, any large tote) or had materials (and price!) too fragile for a baby bag (Kate spade). The bags are priced from $200 odd but it's well worth every cent. :)

Tod's Pashmy Bauletto Medio

Yes some may say that it is a boringly ugly bag but I wasn't a tad bit surprised that it is one of my most used bags. The size fits well, the pashmy nylon is heavenly to touch and although it doesn't seem to be as robust or stiff as Prada's Tessuto, it has until now, shown no signs of wear and tear. I think it is that very reason that I was willing to part some $$$$ for a nylon bag. The rolled leather handles gave no problems that most other rolled handles do: slipping off when you lug too much around or sometimes even when you don't. With studded feet and very understated gold hardware, I just couldn't resist getting more :P
Here are some other designs, photo taken from Purseblog
Love love love this series, check out Tods.com for the newest range and bubble gum colors too. But, 1 to highlight is the MUMMY bag that everyone is having today. Too bad I've gotten mine already from Skiphop. This would be a fantastic multi-pocket, ultra light, chic bag. Comes with changing mat, removable inside lining (could not stain the satin now could we?) and a golden rattle...wahhhh... I just think it's great cos it's something that you could use even when your kids're out of diapers. Ok, this picture does it no justice, check out the webby please!
So I'll just leave you guessing which one I recently ordered from Saks cos I was procastinating for tooo long and it's now only available there. sigh... .

Kate Spade and Juicy Couture

so, let's start! Here's what I got last month and all from Ebay. It sure was quite a hassle just to verify or what they call AUTHENTICATE it. Darn that there are sooo many copies in the market so one really has to put in some effort to score some REAL good buys.

From top left:
Juicy Couture Premier Scottie Tote in Pink. Kate Spade Chattatoonga handbag with a matching coin purse. JC Premier Scottie Tote in Brown (small). KS Dot Noel wristlet, KS Sydney Silver coin purse, KS Knightsbridge zip wallet, KS Ruth/Katy wallet in Pink/Green and Black, KS Chocolate Dot Noel wallet and matching coin purse and lastly my first KS bought early last year. It's nylon in black but got scratched not long after I got it.

I'm not a JC fan actually cos they are usually too loud for me but the Premier tote is a heaven sent for someone who just refuses to get the Neverfull! I'm quite sure it can't hold the weight of a polar bear like said in HerWorld about the Neverfull, but I just checked and I'm pretty certain I won't be shopping for one soon. I got a used JC pink tote in the size of the brown one, it was barely used and in very good condition. Since the brown is alot nicer, have decided to use the pink one for 'rough use' :P

For the numerous KS stuff, I actually bought duplicates like some to give away as presents. So far, I think they are great pressies! :) Quite excited to actually give it to someone who appreciates KS. I stopped using the nylon wallet once I got the Knightsbridge and I was sooo happy to find out that 1. they don't do fakes for this range, it's mostly the nylon KS series which are fakes and 2. I got it more than $200 cheaper than in the shops! YIPEE.. it's my current wallet now and supposed to be the subsitute for my LV Epi zippy. Costs 1/5 less, let's see how long it will last.

I love the KS Dot Noel range, especially chocolate but the wallet is rather large. Will use it as my travelling wallet or when I move back to Europe. The matching coin purse is just great because I tend to collect so many coins that my wallets always get disfigured. Lastly, the Ruth wallets are great when I wanna carry a small bag (like the Chattatoonga) and not lug a zippy long wallet around. I love all of them so far! No intentions of selling them...yet :P
